Do Ventures backs local online education platform VUIHOC

VUIHOC is one of the first online education platforms in Vietnam to cover all three core subjects for primary school students: Math, Vietnamese, and English, based on the entire sets of textbooks approved by the Ministry of Education and Training. VUIHOC currently offers more than 150 courses, nearly 9,000 video lectures, and a repository of 240,000 quiz questions. Its teaching framework is built on a weekly basis, closely following the textbook curriculum. Two years after its birth, more than 100,000 parents across Vietnam have trusted VUIHOC as an instrumental tool to support their children's daily home learning.

Online learning has been proving its crucial role for Vietnamese students. Even before Covid-19 made e-learning indispensable, online education had contributed to solving several pain points of the sector, such as the shortage of high-quality learning materials, the disparity in each student's learning ability, or the imbalance of qualified teachers from urban versus rural areas. VUIHOC was born with the mission of narrowing all these gaps, delivering the most gripping and effective online learning experiences to students across the country.

As VUIHOC means "fun learning" in Vietnamese, the founding team wants to create a delightful environment for students to build up learning passion at their earliest stages of life. VUIHOC's educators design learning materials based on a deep dive into the psychology of each age group, ensuring that every student will find matching content at their preference. Video lectures are vividly presented through eyecatching animations, gamified exercises to keep students engaged and enable them to quickly assimilate knowledge. Questions related to the lectures will be answered instantaneously by teaching assistants via the online chat tool.

VUIHOC also provides live classes to augment teacher-student interaction. Live classes take place weekly on VUIHOC's mobile application under the guidance of a team of teachers who have not only pedagogical expertise but also online communication prowess. In the near future, VUIHOC will broaden its learning courses for high school students.

The platform organizes monthly tests to track students learning progress and measure learning efficiency. Based on detailed analytics of each student's level, the teachers at VUIHOC will suggest learning paths to help realize their potentials. Student's learning history is stored on an electronic school record system for parents to access daily and accompany their children on the studying journey.
