The investment will support early and growth-stage small and medium enterprises (SMEs) advancing Vietnam’s energy transition and climate adaptation across sectors including advanced manufacturing, sustainable consumption, and AI-enabled climate solutions.
This marks ADI’s first commitment under its Vietnam investment window.
Vietnam currently represents 40% of ADI’s portfolio globally. Across five investment funds, ADI supports 26 Vietnam-based SMEs, contributing to job creation, improved access to finance for small entrepreneurs, and the deployment of new renewable energy capacity.
"Australia is a trusted, reliable partner for Vietnam, supporting Vietnam’s energy transition and climate adaptation,” said Australia’s Ambassador to Vietnam, H.E. Gillian Bird. "This significant commitment will strengthen Vietnam’s climate investment market to attract more private finance, to drive climate solutions in Vietnam.”
"This commitment allows us to strengthen our portfolio of climate investments and support more Vietnamese founders seeking to pioneer innovative and sustainable climate solutions,” said Vy Le, General Partner of Do Ventures. "With ADI's catalytic support, our Fund II can enable more startups to scale and create positive climate impact.”
Do Ventures is grateful for ADI’s trust and partnership in supporting the growth of Vietnam’s innovation and climate ecosystem. Beyond capital, ADI will also work alongside Do Ventures to strengthen climate investment capabilities, including ESG practices and impact measurement frameworks, supporting long-term sustainable growth across the portfolio.
ADI is the Australian Government’s flagship AU$250 million impact investment fund, focused on mobilizing private investment and delivering climate and gender outcomes at scale.
