Thao Nguyen

Thao’s passion for climate solutions deepened after she frequently came across footage of mass die-offs among penguin populations in recent years.

As an Investment Analyst at Do Ventures, Thao focuses on climate tech, agriculture innovation, and waste management. She also supports deals in healthcare and education, sustainability sectors that form the backbone of long-term economic growth. She’s responsible for sourcing, evaluating investments and supporting their execution, and has spent the past year studying Vietnam’s climate sectors, particularly waste and recycling, to identify where the real gaps lie and where the fund can add the most value.

Prior to Do Ventures, she worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Thien Viet Securities Company, where she developed a strong affinity for the investment industry through her work alongside startups. Thao holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from RMIT University Vietnam.

Outside of work, Thao rotates between a range of hobbies. She’s currently into dance class and reading about geopolitics and cultures, and some Saturday mornings you’ll find her volunteering at an art gallery for Saigon’s Children Charity or planning her next trip.
